We just got back to Taipei from a weekend trip to Taichung, Jocelyn's university town. We spent most of our time exploring the areas near the University and visiting with friends. We found a nice cafe which inspired a lot of ideas for our future guesthouse plans. When I walked inside, the first thing I noticed was the aroma...reminded me a lot of my grandparents house and aunt Rose's house back in the USA. Over a slice of cherry pie and a tall glass of apple and peach yogurt smoothie, we chatted about our past and families. It was a very nice time


On a side note, I found this article from the Taipei Times about the new president of Taiwan (President Ma) and what he had to say about the LDS church in Taiwan. There was also this article about LDS missionaries in Taichung (the city we were visiting this weekend) and a special project the mayor gave them.
